We’re sorry to announce that after 17 years Dr Helen Gilmour will be leaving the practice at the end of June in order to spend more time with her family. She has very much enjoyed the privilege and experience of working at Williamwood, but feels the time is right to make this change. She has been a dedicated GP whose focus has always been on her patients and we know that many of you will be sad to see her go.
She will continue with her teaching commitment to undergraduate medical students at Glasgow University. All of us at the practice wish her well for the future.
During the summer months we will be replacing Dr Gilmour’s sessions in the practice with two familiar faces – Dr Salma Ahmad who has been doing locum work here for some time, and from August Dr Holly Edmondson who has been one of our GP trainees for the past four years and has now completed her training. The other members of the practice team remain the same, and we are also recruiting an Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
